Making Our Community a Better Place
The Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce is an organization of people interested in working together to make our community a better place to live, work and play. Our mission statement is:
“The Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce is working to advance, protect and preserve the civic, economic, business and individual interest of the Waynesville area.”
The Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce currently has 230 members and is guided by a Board of Directors, elected by the Membership. Organized in 1969 as a non-profit organization, the Chamber operates within adopted by-laws. An Executive Director is hired by the Board of Directors to coordinate the many programs and events of the organization, plus the day-to-day business management of the Chamber.

The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival
In addition to making our community a better place to live, work, and play, we organize and sponsor the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival. It is held the second full weekend in October and currently brings over 300,000 people to Waynesville, over two days. For more information on this festival visit, www.sauerkrautfestival.com.
Christmas In The Village
The Chamber also jointly sponsors Christmas in the Village with the Merchants Association which features Christmas carols, local talent, shopping and dinning for the whole family.
