If you’re not into spectator sports but want to get into the action, there are nearby canoe and kayak liveries, golf courses, tennis courts, the bike trail, and of course, Caesar’s Creek State Park for boating and swimming!

Horse Lovers – Riding Enthusiasts  – Waynesville offers some fun for you.  Trailer in and stay awhile.  Our area is one of the largest horse meccas in the state!  We, here in Warren County, have one of Ohio’s largest horse populations.  Right here in Waynesville, we are only approximately 10 minutes from Caesar’s Creek State Park Horseman’s Camp and Trails.  Caesar’s Creek offers numerous easily accessible trail heads and parking.  The trails are well maintained by the Parks Department and Warren County Horseman’s Council.

Just a short drive away world class trainers abound, Reining King, Shawn Flarida slides and spins close by,  Western Pleasure – AQHA Master’s Winner, Kenny Lakins is loping just down the road, Eventers, Hunters and Jumpers can get a tune up at Lochmoor Stables, trainers of equestrians and their mounts throughtout the U.S., Canada and Europe;  First Cut Farms, trainers and exhibitors of first class cutting horses.

If babies are your thing, Saquaro Paint Horses is just two minutes north of Waynesville.  Saquaro has been breeding champion paint horses for over 25 years.

We even lay claim to a local trainer with the reputation as a “horse whisperer”  Contact Warren County Horseman’s Council for a possible list of horse hostiles.  Hammel House, Creekwood Hotel and Cranberry Cottage offer exceptional accommodations for the human experience.   Then . . . . climb on down and spend some time in our lovely little town!   Shop, Dine and explore Waynesville!
