Waynesville, Ohio is a treasure chest of antique shops.
Tucked amongst sixty shops are ten shops specializing in antiques, four antique malls and many shops along the five-block area that boast a scattering of antique furniture and collectibles. What’s not to like if you are on the hunt for that antique piece you have been searching for?
What about getting started on Main Street?
You will find a large showroom of antique furnishings at Brass Lantern. They specialize in Victorian and Country Furniture pre-dating 1920. Expect to see the polished and elite as well as a mix of rustic and unique. Are you interested in spool drawers? Look no further. You will be overwhelmed by the selection at Brass Lantern Antiques.
If your taste is more toward the rustic or painted antiques, don’t miss Winsome Cottage. Winsome Cottage has their own attractions but ask and you should find! You will fall in love with the early pieces and fun oddities to add to your decor, many painted transformations and hand-crafted one-of-a-kind pieces to make your living spaces a showplace. But, don’t stop there, so much more to see! You may want to take time for lunch at one of the many fine eateries in Waynesville and while waiting for your food delights, plan your strategy.
Did someone say Antique Jewelry?
Antiques plus antique jewelry? Did someone say Antique Jewelry? C & R Living is just off Main Street in a space beside the Village Restaurant parking lot. A delightful mix of Antique furniture, Jewelry, artwork and décor items will delight your senses. While in that part of town, don’t miss Crosswyck Cottage located in the Hammel House Inn. Their inventory is an unusual grouping of selective finds. An ever-changing inventory based upon foraging expeditions. Primitives, antiques and repurposed items call home there. Stop in and be amazed.
Just a little further down the street, look for Village Antiques. Is it any wonder Waynesville has been named the Antiques Capital of the Midwest?
